Very necessary little kit for Intex Pools Oct 15, 2010

I had the worst time keeping the Quick-set pool crystal clear without it. I bought the pool for my 7 year old and was afraid I may have to dismantle it if I couldn't keep it clean. Thankfully, I found this.
The skimmer basket is great, just adjust it to the water level and let the filter do the rest. The vacuum works very well, but will not pick up pebbles, so if you have landscaping rocks you will have to pick them off the bottom.
The hose is more than long enough,I have an 18ft. round and it has extra left over.
Attaching the skimmer is easy, with simple twisting clamps and once attached, chlorinating is simple because you can use the skimmer tabs.
Overall, it's very necessary to make keeping one of these pools enjoyable and hassle-free. I just wish that Intex would have included it in their pool to begin with!

This was hard to review because the ratings say this is a toy. This is not a toy, but I still rated the product. The vacuum works very well picking up leaves, grass and bugs off the pool's bottom. The more level the pool is the better the vacuum works. We have a 18ft pool and I stand inside the pool to clean it. The very fine particles go back into the pool, because there is no backwash on the pump to get rid the particles. I have to vacuum very slow to keep from stirring up the particles more. After vacuuming, the pool is cloudy for a day or two because of the particles are going back into the pool instead of being backwashed out. The skimmer works great at getting the bugs and stuff floating on top of the water. Make sure you clean out the hose in the pool connecting the skimmer to the inside pool wall. I didn't know that the debris collected there, which caused our pump not to work well. After cleaning the hose, the pump will work like new. The pool maintenance kit works really well and I couldn't maintain our pool very well without it.

This set contains very good tools for keeping my pool clean. I especially like the oversize skimmer. Much better than the standard skimmer.

This is not a toy! We have a 15x48, so we had to upgrad our pump, which is something we had beent thinking about anyways, to get the vaccum to work. It is so much better than the vaccum that came with our pool. This is once actually suck, and you dont have to use the water hose! Great price! Easy to use, practically right out of the box!

This has been great for my above ground pool. Being in Arizona, I don't really have to worry about lots of leaves for the skimmer to suck up, but it gets the other misc stuff that the wind blows into the pool.
The vaccuum works great with the intex salt water filtering system as well. I bought all of this stuff 'going cheap' and have been very happy with all of my Intex purchases.
